WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (hours are flexible and work on a rota system) THE COMPANY: We are recruiting on behalf of a global hospital group who operate over 100 hospitals and day surgery facilities across Australia, the United Kingdom, Indonesia and France. The hospital located in quiet, landscaped grounds, offers a wide range of private hospital treatments at its modern facility. The hospital is renowned for offering a high quality service to all its patients, ranging from NHS to private. THE ROLE: Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced and talented Chef to join the already well-established team of two Chef's, reporting into the Catering Manager.. As a team you will be responsible for not only following the menus for the patients meals, but also providing the staff at the hospital with nutritional food and providing catering for the occasional conferences and meetings. Key Responsibilities to include: Appropriate preparation for all meals including; breakfast, lunch and dinner General kitchen duties Ensure all meals that leave the kitchen are presented to a high standard Complying to hygiene regulations at all times Endeavour to support all members of the team on a day to day basis THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have previous experience within a catering environment, ideally a hotel or high standard restaurant. You will be a determined character and show a willingness to develop your knowledge in your profession, along with the drive and dedication to consistently provide food of a high standard. To be successful in this role you must have a passion for food and be keen to express your own personal ideas that will bring that extra flair to the menus at the hospital. Key experience essential for the role: Demonstrable Chef experience ideally in a hotel or high standard restaurant Minimum NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Catering or equivalent Excellent culinary skills Attention to detail Strong team work skills are essential Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times with excellent customer service skills Working on your own initiative Does this sound like you?
