For more information, visit Position: Legal Administrative Assistant - Compliance, Safety, and Investigations As a member of the GP Law Department, in Atlanta GA, provides a broad range of administrative support to attorneys and para-professionals in the Compliance Group, and indirectly to GP business clients.Individuals in these positions develop an understanding of not only the work performed within their work group(s) but also knowledge of related client/business operations; play an active role in the exchange of information with clients, outside counsel, and other members of the Law Department; proactively develop solutions to administrative challenges. In order to provide high value, they have extensive knowledge of legal software applications, advanced communication, information management, and technology skills. Legal Administrative Assistants are often actively responsible for managing calendars/deadlines for matters/functions/projects. The scope of work encompasses: ? document creation and management; records management; and matter management ? variety of daily administrative responsibilities including coordinating travel, scheduling, expense reports, telephone/client interaction ? special projects such as preparing excel reports/data analysis; drafting presentations (PowerPoint); assisting with document/data review ? This position works cross functionally with other law work group members and interacts with GP business operations, outside counsel, accounting, administration, and other areas on multiple projects, as needed. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities ? Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and written communication skills; requires flexibility and ability to work with multiple work styles. ? Possess high level of initiative, high productivity and ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple clients simultaneously ? Excellent organizational and time management skills; detail oriented ? Excellent daily workload and project management skills; develop and implement follow-up procedures to ensure clients' needs and project deadlines are met. ? Advanced technology acumen. ? Maintain high level of confidentiality in all mattersCompetencies: ? Possess professional demeanor and client service focused; demonstrate sense of urgency ? Critical thinking skills - ability to anticipate and initiate tasks; propose solutions to issues/challenges. ? Self-starter who has the ability to work under minimal direction in a fast paced, team oriented environment. Basic Qualifications ? Minimum 3 years experience in a law firm or in-house law department environment demonstrating a high level of responsibility. Prefer undergraduate degree. ? Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite required; prefer experience with document redlining/comparison software, document management programs and experience with databases such as matter or client management software.
