You'll be working as part of a management team of three - taking the role of an Assistant Manager, deputising for the Store Manager and taking responsibility for our back of house functions.You'll be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 people, in a store with a turnover of up to Ł4 million. This is one of our smaller stores and offers fantastic development opportunities and career progression for those wishing to take on the challenge of managing a larger store in the future.You'll lead and develop your team to excel in their roles and exceed targets for operational standards in the stockroom, managing the delivery and allocation of around 400 items per day. With high visibility both front and back of house you'll be a passionate advocate for the customer experience. You'll review standards within the store, monitor and challenge best practice, identify opportunities to increase sales, drive profitability and deliver positive change.The PersonTo succeed in this role you will need a minimum 1 years experience of managing a team dealing with customers with customers on a face to face basis. This might have been as a store manager, assistant manager or even a retail supervisor of a large team. You'll be a great problem solver with a logical mind, and a proven ability to implement process and procedure. An ability to work methodically and cope well when working under pressure is a must.You'll be highly proactive, with a focus on identifying opportunities to make your business more efficient, and possess the excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with our customers on a daily basis.
