To anticipate guests needs wherever possible in order to deliver an exceptional quality of service and in turn guest satisfaction.3. To promote a helpful and professional image within the department ensuring full co-operation is given to colleagues in other departments.4. To manage, train and develop the Reception and Night teams ensuring that objectives are set and regularly monitored in line with the hotel business plan.5. To hold monthly departmental meetings, ensuring that all staff are fully trained and briefed on any changes or forthcoming events and can demonstrate excellent product knowledge.6. To produce monthly training plans in which departmental, Hotel and statutory needs are identified. To help conduct and record training.7. In liaison with the Personnel Manager, plan the labour resource for the department to meet the company standards for recruitment and selection.8. To effectively supervise and control the operation of the Reception department ensuring that all staff are able to carry out their duties to the agreed departmental standard.9. To promote a helpful and professional image within the department ensuring full co-operation is given to colleagues in other departments.10. To attend any departmental, communication and training meetings as required.11. To hold monthly departmental meetings, ensuring that all staff are fully trained and briefed on any changes or forthcoming events.12. To produce monthly training plans in which departmental, Hotel and statutory needs are identified.13. To be fully conversant with the Hotels reservations policy and procedures.14. To ensure all accounting procedures are carried out and procedures relating to the Reception and Nights department.15. To carry out Duty Management shifts.16. To report any maintenance problems and check that all matters specifically affecting guests or health and safety are dealt with promptly.17. To ensure full compliance with Company and legal requirements relating to fire and health and safety procedures.18. To undertake any reasonable duties as requested by your colleagues or the management of the Hotel.HEALTH AND SAFETY:To be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions relevant to your area of work.To adhere to all current legislation pertaining to fire, health and safety in connection with the Reception area.The LocationAn attractive, modern hotel located close to the city centre.
