Sequoia, The Grove's luxury health spa, is looking for a Spa Leisure Manager to join their team. The role will involve overall responsibility for the fitness teams (gym and lifeguards) as well as membership sales and the associated administration processes The successful candidates will also support the Spa Director and Hotel Marketing team by contributing to the spa's annual marketing plan and coordinating all promotional membership activities and events in line with this, Joining Sequoia, voted one of the most luxurious spas in the UK, also presents an excellent opportunity to develop a career in the 5* leisure industry. The position is full time (40 hours per week) and involves some weekend work and Spa Duty Manager shifts on a rota basis. ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. To ensure all maintenance and housekeeping dockets are filled in correctly and faults are followed up in a timely manner to maintain the physical product, 2. Responsible for the monitoring of all costs within the department including staff costs, and to increase revenue in line with budget, whilst handling all monies in line with company procedures, 3. To recruit, train, monitor, discipline and carry out timely EARs for allocated staff to maintain standards and consistency of delivery as directed within the law and engage staff in the departmental objective process ensuring guest/member satisfaction, 4. To take appropriate action and co-operate with your team colleagues to maintain a safe and equitable working environment whilst being sensitive to, and aware of, business/staffing levels in order to maintain a disciplined but harmonious department, 5. To ensure any Guest/Member and departmental requests, outside your area of expertise, are raised immediately to the appropriate level or passed to the relevant department and followed up. 6. To support the Spa Director and Hotel Marketing team by contributing to the spa's annual marketing plan and coordinating all promotional membership activities and events in line with this. 7. To ensure that an inspiring and professional service is delivered by the fitness, lifeguard and membership teams to ensure the membership acquisition and retention objectives are achieved. 8. To work within all company policies with specific reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act. 9.
