The Human Resources team at The Grove is responsible for delivering an efficient and effective business support service to the wider hotel and its staff. We are looking for a Assistant Human Resources Manager to support the Human Resources Manager in providing a comprehensive service which covers resourcing, recruitment, employee relations, welfare and support, and general HR advice. Reporting into the HR Manager, this is a great opportunity for an individual with: attention to detail, a pragmatic approach, experience and sound knowledge of current employment and case law, the ability to organise and manage a varied and complex workload, to join a committed team. The successful candidate will have a background in generalist HR gained within a busy environment as well as excellent communication skills and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Resourcing, § To provide general information and advice, § To support the business in making sound recruitment decisions and and to carry out HR behavioural interviews where necessary, Reward and Recognition, § To provide advice on all Company schemes and benefits, § To co-ordinate the Employee Appraisal Review (EAR) scheme by logging EAR information on Snowdrop, updating the EAR management reports, distributing the reports to the Heads of Department (HODs) and producing/communicating any relevant statistical information, § To manage the implementation of new initiatives, § To conduct annual salary surveys, Employee Relations, § To be conversant with current employment legislation and any future changes, § To assist with Reconciliation and Resolution issues by providing general advice, § To identify HR implications and solutions, § To assist in the development of HR policies, procedures and processes, § To deputise for the Human Resources Manager at meetings as required, § To record all disciplinary information on Snowdrop and remove disciplinary sanctions at the point they are no longer live, § To manage requests for flexible working and requests for parental leave, § To act as liaison for those on Maternity and Paternity Leave, Other, § To be aware of and adhere to HR policies and procedures at all times, § To maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures and the Data Protection Act. § To provide quarterly census data when requested by the ONS, § To assist the HR team in project work as necessary to meet the objectives of the Hotel and Group HR function. § To be responsible for Anouska's payment terms including salary sacrifice arrangements for staff and provide advise where necessary, § To be responsible for coordinating maternity/paternity and adoption leave and maintain communication with those on maternity leave.
